Christmas Starlight
If I'd known letting my niece sing into the can for a few minutes would lead to such a beautiful improvised Christmas Carol, I would have put a bit of effort into keeping the room quieter than it was, especially the washing up outside the door and percussive air piano, but still, what a joy to have a go at orchestrating it!
Obviously a few edits along the way, but no changing of order and minimal alteration to tempo of her lyrics, and all from the one freestyle take. Recorded and tempo mapped in Cakewalk, Orchestrated in Dorico Pro using BBC SO (core edition) from Spitfire Audio, and mixed back in cakewalk. Merry Christmas
